iPad screen sizes and resolutions: every model in points and pixels

Tested with Screen Specs: Sizes & DPI 1.0.1 · listing checked September 29, 2026 · iPhone, iOS 15 or later

Short answer

Every iPad since 2012 is @2x. The current sizes are 820 × 1180 pt (iPad 10th gen, Air 11-inch), 834 × 1210 pt (iPad Pro 11-inch M4), 1024 × 1366 pt (Air 13-inch), 1032 × 1376 pt (iPad Pro 13-inch M4) and 744 × 1133 pt (iPad mini 6th–7th gen), all at 264 PPI except the mini's 326. Home-indicator models use 24 pt top and 20 pt bottom insets in portrait; home-button models use 20 / —. The table covers all 19 iPad entries in Screen Specs's catalog.

All iPad screen sizes

Grouped as the catalog groups them: generations that share a panel are one row. Points are what you lay out in; the aspect ratio has drifted from 3:4 to slightly taller on recent models, so avoid hard-coding 4:3.

What to design against

Three logical widths cover almost every modern iPad in portrait: 744 pt (mini), 820–834 pt (11-inch class) and 1024–1032 pt (13-inch class). Multitasking and Stage Manager present narrower widths than the device's own, so size classes matter more than the exact numbers here. App Store screenshot requirements for iPad are on App Store screenshot sizes; iPhone values are on iPhone screen sizes.

What this cannot do

  • Values are the catalog bundled in Screen Specs; Apple's own tech specs and Human Interface Guidelines are the primary source and win if they ever disagree.
  • Screen Specs is iPhone only (iOS 15 or later); this page is the web view of one part of its catalog.
  • Portrait safe-area values only.
  • Generations sharing a row share a panel; case dimensions and features differ.
